2-Days Diani Taita Saltlick Safari Itinerary
Day 1 :
Diani Beach, Mombasa to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Taita Hills Saltlick safari starts with meet and greet by our professional driver guide at your residence hotel in Diani Beach, Mombasa at 06.00Hrs. After a short briefing you depart and drive via the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway and arrive at Taita Hills wildlife Sanctuary later at mid-morning. Check-in to the park and start off with a game viewing drive en-route to Saltlick Safari Lodge. Check-in at the lodge and have lunch and later take some rest till 15.00Hrs. Proceed for an afternoon game drive that extends all through to dinner time. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Saltlick Safari lodge.
Saltlick Safari Lodge offers excellent views and photographic opportunities from well-designed lobby / terraces areas. The underground tunnel and bunker with ground level windows will provide unbelievably close views of variety of animals as they frequent the water hole for water & salt licks.
Day 2 :
Taita Hills – Diani Beach, Mombasa
The day starts early at 06.00hrs after a cup of coffee or tea depart for a pre-breakfast game drive. At this time, animals especially the cats are roaming in the savannah. On a lucky day you might spot a hunt. Later drive back to the lodge for breakfast and check-out. Enjoy your last game drive as you check-out of the park. Join the Nairobi-Mombasa highway and enjoy the scenic drive back to Diani. Our driver will drop you back to your residence hotel.
