This day safari from Nairobi takes you to some of the best Kenya safari destinations that is Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha-Crescent Island. Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the best national parks in Kenya given that it has one of the Rift Valley soda Lakes i.e. Lake Nakuru which is famous for its large number of flamingoes. Lake Nakuru is also home to wildlife such as Rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, leopards, lions and other wild animals.
Lake Naivasha on the other hand is a fresh water renowned for its rich biodiversity, particularly its birdlife. It is home to over 400 species of birds, including fish eagles, pelicans, and kingfishers. The lake also supports a significant population of hippos. We will explore Lake Naivasha by boat before docking at Crescent Island where we will undertake walking safaris. Crescent Island is known for its rich wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, impalas, and various bird species. The absence of predators makes it a safe haven for herbivores and a peaceful spot for birdwatching.

Itinerary

Our driver will be at your hotel/airport early in the morning at around 4.00 AM in the morning ready for pick-up. After briefing the driver to Lake Nakuru immediately starts. You will stop over at the Rift Valley escarpment view point for views and a cup of coffee. Later arrive at Lake Nakuru National park and start off with game viewing in this amazing park known for its favourite animal spotting viewpoints like Lion Hill and Out of Africa where you may also see baboon, waterbuck, cheetah, Rothschild’s giraffe and over 400 birds species. We’ll take a game viewing safari on Lake Nakuru past hippos, storks, pelicans and sometimes hordes of brilliant pink flamingos feeding on the algae in the saline lake. You will not miss also the Rhino Sanctuary. The park hosts more than 25 endangered black rhinos and about 70 white rhinos. Your morning here will be filled with an engaging procession of wildlife. You will stop-over for Lunch
Later in the afternoon drive out of Lake Nakuru and take the drive to Lake Naivasha which features acacia forest, dormant volcanoes, dramatic gorges and a beautiful freshwater lake and home for buffalo, zebra, eland, impala and waterbuck. Hop into a boat and start the sail at Lake Naivasha. Look out for hippos as you sail by these massive creatures taking a dip in the lake. You can also spot eagles, buzzards, weavers, fire finches, pelicans, kingfishers and more than 450 other birdlife species. Stepping into the forest you may come upon zebra and giraffe grazing about.
The next stop is Crescent Island where you will take a guided walking safari. Crescent Island is on the shores of Lake Naivasha, a beautiful park where the walking safari will take you past grazing hippos, giraffe and zebra.
You will then drive drive back to Nairobi arriving later in the evening. Our driver guide will drop you back to your hotel or airport for your onward flight.
