Itinerary
We will pick you from your hotel in Diani Beach/ Malindi at around 7.00am in the morning and drive you to Mombasa to start off your city tour trip. Pass by the Iconic Elephant Tusks, the land mark of Mombasa. You will then drive to Fort Jesus. You will get a guided informative tour of the Fort related to the long history of East Africa and a tourist land mark attraction. Fort Jesus exhibits a collection of ceramic, jewelry and pottery reflecting various cultures of people at the coast who includes; Arabs, Persians, Portuguese, British, Omani and the Swahili people.
The guide will then guide you into old town. Old Town is a historical town inhabited by a mix of local people, Arabs, Asians, Portuguese and British Settlers. Old Town consists of architecturally attractive buildings.
You will stop over for lunch at Forodhani restaurant before heading to Marikiti Spice Market. The guide will take you through the various spice stalls explaining to you how they are used and you will learn the secret behind every delicious Swahili meal.
After the Marikiti Spice market we will head to the Mamba Village Mombasa. Mamba Village Mombasa is Africa’s largest crocodile farm with over 1000 crocodiles. The crocodile farm also houses a snake park, horse and camel riding. You will experience a detailed guided tour through the farm. Our driver will then drive you back to your hotel to arrive late in the evening.
