Itinerary
Tsavo East Safari begins at your Diani Beach Mombasa Beach Hotel. Our driver guide will be at the hotel by 06.00Hrs. After briefing your will start the 4 hour journey to Tsavo via Mombasa-Nairobi highway. Enter Tsavo East through Bachuma Gate and start your first safari game viewing drive as you en-route Ashnil Aruba Lodge where you will be checking in for lunch. Tsavo East is home to Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalo and lots of other wild animals and bird species.
You will drive by Aruba Dam - a man-made dam on the seasonal Voi River which attracts big game and bird species especially in dry seasons.
After lunch, have some rest till 15.00Hrs when you will proceed for an afternoon game viewing which ends at Dinner time. Drive back to Ashnil Aruba Lodge for Dinner and overnight.
Enjoy a pre-breakfast game drive a time when the wild cats are very active. Drive back to the lodge for breakfast leave the park with a game drive en-route to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary - a privately owned conservation area located at the foot of the Taita Hills adjacent to Tsavo West National Park.
Enjoy a game drive in Taita Hills en-route to Saltlick Safari Lodge one of the most photographed lodges in the world. Check-in at Saltlick Safari Lodge for lunch. After lunch enjoy a short rest followed by afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Saltlick Safari Lodge
Salt Lick Lodge is one of Kenya’s famous lodges, famed for its architectural design with great views of the park. It is a luxurious safari escape set in the heart of Taita Hills Game Sanctuary, a privately owned game sanctuary. The sanctuary is adjacent to Tsavo West National Park and the LUMO Community Wildlife Sanctuary. The combined sanctuaries of Taita Hills and Lumo are host to cape buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, cheetah, Masai giraffe, zebra, hartebeest, impala, waterbuck, Thomson's gazelle, lesser kudu, dik-dik, and other smaller animals, including a diversity of birdlife
On this last safari day in Taita Hills you will wake up early in the morning for a hot cup of coffee/tea and proceed for an early morning game drive. You will then bedriven back to the lodge for full breakfast. After breakfast check-out of the lodge and enjoy the last game viewing before departing for Mombasa Diani Beach. You will arrive at your Diani Beach Hotel in the late afternoon. Our driver will drop you at your hotel
